French Country
Tucked away in the foothills of the most well-known hiking trails outside of Seattle, is a cute little guest house to welcome home friends, family and even those who need a helping hand for a short time.
Our clients own a home next door and then purchased this old hunting cabin, converted to a small home in the 1970s. What was once a hunters hideaway, became a small home to a few families before falling into disarray. Our clients then purchased it in the early 2000’s and used it as a space to help out their local church community with those who needed temporary housing. After an unfortunate water leak this last year, it was time to come in and address the future of the home.
What originally began as a bathroom update and then replacing the flooring throughout the 800sqft space turned into a massive overhaul and transitioning it from a dark cabin into a light and bright french country cottage.
We introduced multi-dimensional herringbone flooring in an LVP product for durability. Repainted and added in cabinetry in the kitchen, integrated all new lighting, all new paint, updated the fireplace insert and introduced a new marble hearth. Integrated a solid surface shower surround, cabinetry and updated lighting throughout the entire home. It’s hard to remember where we started to where it is now.
